Sucks to be Sick

Especially when the first time in what feels like years the temp actually reached into the 60s. It started Friday morning as I was eating my coco puffs mixed with protein cereal. Yes this makes me feel that I'm not being terribly unhealthy. Anyway, I couldn't finish eating because I just felt gross. You know when you think you're too full and you're kinda queasy? I knew that was odd but I didn't think much of it until I started feeling weak and I just wanted to be sitting down.

Things just got worse but I did manage to buy myself a sweet little Coach wallet at the outlet. I got home and literally passed out for hours on the couch and woke up with a fever. I could barely eat the chicken soup Justin brought me. I basically just slept the evening and night away. Sat and Sun things got better but I could barely eat and I just felt bloated and so I visited the porcelain throne a couple times to puke (sorry, TMI). I thought I'd have to go to the doctor today but of course I woke up feeling totally normal with my appetite back.

Why do we get sick on the weekends?? On the beautiful and sunny days?

I have to brag about my hubby for a second and say he totally did everything for me this weekend. All the laundry, dishes, cleaning, and even going to a natural foods store to buy ginger ale with real ginger. I'm a lucky gal!

Stay healthy everyone! Wash your hands, because I swear one of my kids gave this stomach bug to me, yuck. Now I have to go clean all my Mr. Potato Head pieces with Clorox.

Our wedding teaser!!

Words can't fully express the joy and happiness I feel when I watch this or how thankful I am to have had Jeremy there capturing it all. He has a beautiful gift and he creates love and memories for many couples to have forever. Thank you Jeremy for everything!

I have to warn you ahead of time about this crazy video. You're not going to like watching it but don't stop, I promise it'll be worth it.

Crazy huh? This comes from a real film that tells the story of an orphaned bear cub befriended and protected by an adult male grizzly as hunters pursue them through the wilds. The film ends with a quote from The Grizzly King: "The greatest thrill is not to kill but to let live." The plot focuses on the idea of compassion for life and nature <--taken from Wikipedia...high school taught me not to plagiarize ;)

But seriously is the bear making those sounds?? He sounds like a person. What did you think?

Happy Valentine's Day

Ok I'm a day late but vday was a little crazy with the Daytona 500 being on ALL day. Here's my breakfast for hubs, heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes. I made them using a cookie cutter as a mold. Pretty easy and fun. We had a great 1st Valentine's as Mr. and Mrs.

Snowed In

My poor friends have been snowed in for a week in DC. Rosie sent me some pics today of the blizzard. Thankfully they never lost their power and they're able to work from home. Makes you miss Florida doesn't it girls, hehe.

My Accident

I was heading back home on the freeway yesterday when a truck in front of me carrying these huge crates lost some of them. Either they weren't tightly secured or the wind helped loosen them because yesterday was super windy. Anyway, two of them came flying at me and I swerved to miss them but one got my fender. I was really shaken up but I'm totally ok. The guy begged me not to file a report because he has a lot of tickets already and he didn't want his insurance to go up. So long story short I'm taking Scarlet (yes I name my cars) to the shop Monday morning, getting a rental, and my crate-carrying-accident-prone driver is paying for it all.
I'm so thankful I'm all right and this was all just a minor thing.
Poor Scarlet.

My new toy!! This sweet baby will make hot or cold drinks including hot chocolate and teas! It's super easy to use and you can try like hundreds of coffees.

And as you can see I already ordered quite a selection. You just pop one of these babies in, push brew, and presto! Thanks to Uncle Rick for introducing me to Keurig!

Look at these sales going on at bedbathandbeyond.com for a limited time. Some stores may have them in stock too. $6.99 for the juice glass set(7 piece), $7.99 for the Coffee Glasses(set of 4), and $9.99 for the New York Glass Cordial Set. They also have other special purchases you can check out on their site.

I'm tempted to get either the coffee glasses or the juice set. What do you think?

Hola!

I have a blog! This must mean I have too much time on my hands, haha. Really though I just feel like I have so much to share and express and this is the perfect way to do so. I'm obviously a newlywed as well so I'm excited to see what's in store for Justin and myself this year as we enter the world of marriage.

For now though it's late and I have a 10 o'clock bedtime! See you all soon!
